The Wellynn Group Helps Local Developer Gain First Round Approval

(June 13, 2008) The Wellynn Group has been assisting Cricket Avenue Development Partners, a developer based in Wayne, PA, in its application before Lower Merion Township to build a 70-unit apartment building near the center of Ardmore, PA. Earlier this week, the plan received tentative sketch approval from the Township's Board of Commissioners—an important step towards final approval.

The proposed apartment building would be the first development in Ardmore approved under the new MUST zoning guidelines designed to create more residential opportunities within Ardmore, including below-market rate housing.

The Wellynn Group has helped SW Land Associates work with the local Ardmore community and the Township. Lower Merion places great emphasis on developers working closely with local civic groups and neighbors of any development project. The Township often will not consider a project until a developer can demonstrate such communication and cooperation with local civics and other groups interested in development issues.

For the project, The Wellynn Group has aided in message development, media and local government relations, and community relations. This development project represents real progress for Ardmore, but it is important to articulate that benefit in a clear and consistent manner throughout the development process.
